The Fredericksburg Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is a federally-mandated agency that is responsible for making policy on local transportation issues and deciding how to spend federal money on transportation projects with the FAMPO area. The MPO facilitates strategic planning for the region’s multi-modal transportation system by serving as a forum for collaboration among local communities and state leaders. The MPO seeks to address overall mobility needs within the City of Fredericksburg and the Counties of Spotsylvania and Stafford based on the needs and aspirations of residents, businesses, and visitors.
We invite you to search our website, review the information, and provide us with your feedback regarding transportation issues facing the region today and in the future.
